A great looking piece and conversation-starter - I tell people it's a solar-powered watch. Of course, the sundial is for the northern hemisphere and can't really be used to tell the time without a little arithmetic here in Australia, but that isn't why I bought it. The sundial itself is well-made and looks great and I love that you can fold down the gnomon (shadow-caster) out of the way. There is some minor asymmetry with the manufacture of the strap but it is not obvious and not a concern. Delivery did take a little longer than estimated and I had no updates while it sat somewhere in England for a week (I don't know why it was sent via there). However, Shama was quick and helpful in finding out what was happening and provided great customer service. I appreciated the little extra gift, too. Would recommend both item and shop.

Very beautiful but the compass is completely backwards and not accurate. Not an issue for me as I got it as a desk decoration
